Kitap Hakkında
Aggression which emerges as a violent and damaging reaction to the outer world usually originates from destructive childhood experiences and early acquaintance with negative external factors. The frequency and intensity of this violent reaction increases gradually as the hatred which the aggressor feels becomes stronger. This sort of aggression may not always be suppressed after early childhood. Saki portrays the nature of aggression which includes hatred through his child and adolescent protagonists who seek revenge from adults they dislike. In Saki’s short stories, girl protagonists employ verbal aggression, while boy protagonists generally prefer physical aggression. Sakian child and adolescent protagonists employ unrestrained aggression which sometimes even results in the murdering of their adult victims who have tried to control them with their meaningless oppressions. This is a unifying element in Saki’s short stories displaying aggression in child and adolescent protagonists.
